A Definition of Acceleration
If an object is moving with a CONSTANT velocity, the object has an acceleration of ZERO. An object is moving with a constant velocity--it is not accelerating--only if it is NOT doing any of the following three things:
- Speeding up,
- Slowing down, or
- Changing direction.
