Calculations Involving Constant Acceleration
Acceleration Example One
A roller coaster car speeds up as it rolls down a hill. Near the top of the hill, the car has a velocity of 3 m/s downward, and at the bottom of the hill, the car has a velocity of 21 m/s downward. It takes the roller coaster car a total of 3 seconds to roll from the top of the hill to the bottom. What is the average acceleration of the roller coaster car as it rolls down the hill?
