Class Notes: Thursday, February 23, 2012
In class today, the Tuesday/Thursday students discussed reaction time as found by dropping a ruler in the Reaction Time Lab. The students used their reaction times to calculate the distances they would travel in a car moving at 55 miles per hour before they would react to a stimulus, like a deer running into the road. In addition, we reviewed position, distance, displacement, average speed, and average velocity. We continued our discussion of acceleration, completed the Hang Time Lab Activity, and almost completed the Motion Jeopardy Midterm Practice.
