Inertia
The inertia of an object is its resistance to CHANGE in motion. I repeat: Inertia is not resistance to motion; it is resistance to CHANGE in motion. In other words, inertia is sluggishness.
If an object is at rest, its inertia makes it tend to stay at rest, and if an object is in motion, its inertia makes it tend to stay in motion. |
