Instantaneous Velocity Versus Average Velocity
The average velocity over a trip is the displacement of the entire trip divided by the time of the trip. The instantaneous velocity at a given point on a trip is just that: the velocity at a given time. Instantaneous velocity and average velocity ARE NOT the same in general.
