Now, let's use the slope formula to find the slope of our Position Versus Time graph.
slope = ( y1 - y2 ) / ( x1 - x2 ),
where ( x1 , y1 ) and ( x2 , y2 ) are the coordinates of two points on the line.
For our graph, the two known points are ( 0 seconds, 0 meters ), and ( 6 seconds, 6 meters ).
Thus, when we plug the coordinates from the known points into the slope formula, we have
slope = ( 0 meters - 6 meters ) / ( 0 seconds - 6 seconds).
