Newton's Third Law of Motion
Newton's First and Second Laws of Motion discuss forces acting on a single object or on a single system of objects; Newton's Third Law of Motion discusses the forces two objects (or systems) exert on each other.
Many of us can probably recite Newton's Third Law of Motion from memory:
"For every action, there is an equal and opposite reaction."
However, most of us probably don't really know what it means, even if we think we do!
