A person's reaction time is the amount of time it takes for that person to respond to some stimulus, and a person's reaction time can change depending upon conditions.
A person's vertical hang time is the amount of time the person is in the air when he jumps straight up. In this lab activity, you will use the formula for the distance fallen by an object in free fall (the formula found by Galileo) to calculate your reaction time and your hang time.
