Scalar Quantities
A scalar quantity is defined as any quantity that can be expressed without a direction. In order to completely express a scalar quantity, you must include a magnitude. A magnitude is just a size or a number, with unit(s) if necessary. Thus, a scalar quantity includes a number and units, if necessary.
