Click on the image at the right to download the PhET Energy Skate Park simulation. When the Energy Skate Park simulation has finished downloading, open it up. Click HERE if you are unable to download the simulation by clicking at the right. A new page will open. From there, select the blue "Download" button. |

After opening the simulation, select the "Potential Energy Reference" box towards the upper right-hand corner of the simulation screen. See the image at the right. After you check the "Potential Energy Reference" box, a dotted blue line will appear at the ground level in the simulation. See the image at the right. The blue dotted line represents the location at which gravitational potential energy is equal to zero. |
Use your mouse to drag the blue dotted gravitational potential energy reference line up until it is located at the very bottom of the track. See the image below.
